Tables and Thrones juxtaposes the opulence of power with bulletproof glass, found objects, food, flora, landmark legal cases, and tableware from defunct nations. These elements provoke us to question our societal roles and the narratives we consume. What have we ingested through coercion, and how do these stories shape our reality? By examining these frameworks, we challenge the constructs of power and seek to reclaim our autonomy. We should all be enraged—or at least striving to extricate ourselves from the imposed narratives that bind us, transforming our understanding of power and choice.
